Student Council

Hyder School District encourages all willing students to participate in student council, and we're pleased to have several students at Dateland Elementary School already participating in this organization. We’re proud of those who make an effort to participate since student council is a great way to learn about governing a student body and making important decisions. Our students are preparing for futures that point to positions of influence and we’re glad they are learning such important skills. Read below to learn about the five major areas in which the student council gets involved.

  • Good Citizenship
  • Improve student-teacher relations
  • Orderly direction of school activities
  • Promote general welfare of our school
  • Promote school spirit, attitude, and leadership
